A community is much more than the houses that line the streets. It is also the people – your neighbors and friends. Building a great community hinges on creating an environment that provides opportunities for neighbors to connect with each other. That’s what Berewick is all about, and it is why more than 800 families have chosen to call it “home.”
Berewick’s collection of villages surround the Manor House amenity center and a proposed Town Center. The community draws its name from the Scottish pioneers who first settled in this part of Charlotte in the late 1700s. Berewick’s monumentation, village names and the architecture of the Manor House all reflect that heritage.
At Berewick, you’ll find thoughtfully planned amenities already bustling with activities, from workout classes and Bunko parties to children’s story time and organized dog walks. The amenities are designed with active families in mind. From the Manor House and pools to the miles of walking trails winding through the community, Berewick entices you to come out and play.
And, after a fun-filled weekend outdoors, children at Berewick won’t have far to go on Monday morning! The brand-new Berewick Elementary School opened in 2009 and is within walking distance of the community.
With 39 classrooms, the state-of-the-art school also features the brand-new Berewick Recreation Center, which serves as its gym. The Recreation Center offers a variety of programs and activities, including pick-up basketball, self-defense classes, yoga and more. The Recreation Center is open to the public on evenings and weekends, and it is accessible via a separate entrance.
