Cruise on in to Berewick event

Our realtor’s luncheon was a big hit! A little over a hundred agents came out to the Manor House for a delicious lunch cater by City Tavern. We were serving up frozen mango drinks, crab cake, lobster ravioli and much more. Agents toured all our model homes and were back in time for our big prize drawing. The following agents were our big winners. Grand Prize winner of the 6 day Carnival Cruise- Lisa Meltzner/Allen Tate, $200 Hand & spa gift card- Vincent Holmes/Wilkinson & Associates, $200 Del Frisco’s gift card-Jim McGuire/ Home in the Carolinas Realty,$200 Target gift card- Kitty Giese/Southern Homes of the Carolinas and $150 visa gift card- Cathy Whiteside/Weichert Realtors. Easter at Berewick

The Easter Bunny stopped by Berewick the week before Easter to visit with all the Berewick kids. He managed to hide over 2000 Easter eggs for a grand Easter egg hunt! The children also enjoyed many games with a DJ from Little Dreamers Productions. They then worked some of the sweets off by jumping to the finish line in a bunny hop race. There was so much to do and everyone had a wonderful time. We are already looking forward to next years Easter egg hunt!

Family Fun Night

Family fun night at Berewick was tons of fun. With lots of games and dancing the night away with the music bumping parents and kids alike had a blast! Just to name a few there were hula hoop and dance off contests and many more fun activities. And to top the night off Chick-Fil-a for all.

Casino Night

Berewick residents came together in December to celebrate the holidays with a Casino-themed party! Little Dreamers Productions brought Atlantic City to Berewick – we had everything from blackjack, craps, roulette and more! The open bar helped everyone hit the dance floor after they lost all of their play money. It was a blast!

Siemens Unveils $350 Million Expansion to Charlotte Plant

Siemens Energy just unveiled a $350 million expansion to its Charlotte plant off Westinghouse Boulevard. Siemens will build and refurbish gas turbines for U.S. and worldwide customers in the 450,000-square-foot addition, which adjoins an existing 700-worker steam turbine and generator plant.

Siemens has hired another 700 workers since announcing the expansion early last year and expects to bring in 400 more by 2014.

The Berewick HOA had another one of it’s fabulous new home owners receptions on Nov. 10th. With a wonderful turnout we shook hands and greeted our new residents as they not only got to know those of us who workat the Manoe House, but their new neighbors as well! Berewick Halloween Hoot

The 2011 Berewick Halloween Hoot was a huge success! With a staggering number of residents in attendance, it was one of the biggest Halloween Hoots to date. All the little monsters who came out enjoyed new additions to the festival, including a jump castle and petting zoo. Each child was given a goodie bag filled with treats and left with a smile on their ghoulish faces. It was indeed a Happy Halloween!

Berewick Luau

Aloha! Berewick recently had its first authentic Polynesian luau. The evening started with a traditional lei ceremony, during which all residents were greeted with a tropical lei. They were then seated for an authentic Polynesian dinner, followed by an unforgettable performance. The South Sea Dancers of the Charlotte area came out in full luau fashion and put on one heck of a show! They had everything from fire dancing to hula dancers – and even a ukulele player! The dancers got the crowd involved with a little “how to hula dance” lesson. We look forward to doing this again next year!
